The Office of Career Services is pleased to offer full career development services to our alumni. We want to keep you informed of all career opportunities, graduate school options, and on-campus career events, so you may continue to be a valuable part of the Abbey community.
Our office provides: complete career development services including a web-based skill and interest assessment, personalized career coaching, and postings of full and part time job positions. Students may receive coaching in resume/cover letter writing, how to search for positions, and with interviewing skills.
Alumni will also have the opportunity to participate in career and internship related seminars and workshops, on-campus interviewing, as well as an annual career fair.
Mentor an Abbey Student
One of the best ways to connect back with the Abbey community is by providing assistance to our current students. Consider becoming a mentor to a student who is seeking information, advice, and counsel on how to enter your career field.
Assistance can be provided through informational interviews, one-on-one meetings, job shadowing opportunities, providing internship experiences, or by simply meeting a student for coffee on a regular basis at our new on-campus coffeehouse. Your expertise and advice will be invaluable to a student seeking a career path, or simply needing advice on how to transition from the Abbey to the “real world”.
To become a mentor, contact Stephannie Miles in Career Services at 704-461-6873 or Careerservices@bac.edu
Bi-weekly Email of Internship & Job Opportunities
The Office of Career Services and Internships produces and distributes a Bi-weekly email of available internships, full and part time jobs, volunteer opportunities, and other career and graduate school related events.
All positions are either sent directly to Belmont Abbey College by employers, or are researched by our staff to provide you with access to the “hidden job market”, where most opportunities are found.
The emails keeps you informed of every opportunity Career Services knows about.
To receive the Bi-weekly list, contact the Career Services and Internships office at 704-461-6873 or email CareerServices@bac.edu
