We Were Blessed in 2013
Happy 2014 from your alumni family at Belmont Abbey College! We hope you and your loved ones enjoyed the holidays and that they were filled with health and happiness. As we begin our new year and new semester here at Belmont Abbey College, we are constantly reminded of all of our blessings.
We’ve had another year of strong enrollment. Our students are exceptional. We’ve built two new dormitories and our new state-of the-art dining hall is a big hit with our students. These additions and improvements to our campus are possible because of the generosity of our alumni donors and friends like you.
The Future of the Abbey Depends on You!
Alumni support is a key measurement of a college. It can be the difference in receiving funding awards and in national rankings of college quality. Your participation is foundational to our current and future success. Just like the monks who built this college one brick at a time we need every alum to make his / her contribution.
Introducing PROJECT 2014, a new and exciting opportunity for us to increase our alumni participation base to 1400 or 15% of our alumni base. All alumni gifts, regardless of size, whether $1 or $100, will count toward our goal. This is quite a lofty goal and we need your help!
In conjunction with this participation campaign, another unique opportunity has arisen for us to receive a matching funds grant of up to $10,000. Let us explain; every year at this time, our local foundation- The Community Foundation of Gaston County (www.cfgaston.org) - hosts a fundraising program called Run for the Money. This is a unique program by which local non-profits have the opportunity to have donations matched to a certain percentage based on overall contributions to the Community Foundation. Belmont Abbey College is excited to be participating in Run for the Money this year.
Please join your fellow alums in PROJECT 2014:
- Participate in the matching challenge. Your donation must be made to the Community Foundation on our behalf with a completed “donor form” (download here. Return both your donation and the donation form to the Community Foundation at the address on the form). Make your donation to the Community Foundation by April 18th to maximize the match benefit.
- Contribute directly to BAC by donating online (scroll to the bottom of this page to begin) OR send your check made payable to Belmont Abbey College to 100 Belmont Mt Holly Rd, Belmont, NC 28012.
Thanks to all of you that have so generously given financial support and your time and talents in the past. We appreciate you and what you do for the College. If you have any questions about PROJECT 2014, please call Christine Goff Peeler, Alumni and Community Relations Director at 704-461-6663.
Please help us if you can. Remember, $1 or $100 will help us attain our participation goal. Become one of our 1400 alumni donors by May 31st. You will help secure the financial future of your college.
