On behalf of Belmont Abbey College, thank you for supporting the Abbey community. We established the Abbey Solidarity Response Fund exclusively for relieving the financial stress that members of our college community may experience due to COVID-19. This Fund will allow us to bring together financial resources so that when we see a need, whether for students, their families, or our campus community, we can respond.

The Abbey Solidarity Fund Matching Challenge

Recognizing the increasing challenges that COVID-19 has placed on Belmont Abbey, a generous benefactor of the college has just pledged to match the next $25,000 contributed to The Abbey Solidarity Fund. This means your contribution today will double in impact -- bringing in $50,000 of vital support.

Our first priority is the safety of our campus community. As we continue making changes to allow for in-person instruction this fall, we are finding ways in which we can better protect everyone. For the safety of our community, we are increasing our daily cleaning regimen, adding new hand sanitizer stations around campus and implementing new technology for teaching, all of which require more resources. We are also expecting additional requests for financial aid from families and students as we get closer to starting classes. As our students grapple with increased adversity, we hope to provide a safe haven of learning and spiritual reprieve.

The fall semester is just a few short weeks away and it’s critical that the Abbey keeps our students safe and healthy. The Abbey is relying on your generous support to resume its mission of educating the minds and hearts of the next generation of Crusaders on campus.

“Here are the reasons why we contributed to the Belmont Abbey Solidarity Fund: firstly, to help students, families, and Abbey community members who may be facing financial hardships during the COVID-19 pandemic. We, as part of the Abbey Family, feel a deep desire to help. Lastly, when the Abbot asks, we respond as we are able.”

- Pat and Jim Dubil, Retired Faculty

“The call went out to the Abbey family. ‘Drop what you're doing and lend a helping hand.’ It's time again to put the Benedictine credo ‘Ora et Labora’ (Work and Pray) into action. Matching our combined strength and spirited support is a tough combination to beat. We're Crusaders! Let's deliver!”

- Bob Roser, BAC Prep '47
